He Scared Patients Out of My Office

  Little Clare doesn’t take care of his teeth. One day, he has a toothache. His mother takes him to the dentist near the square.

  The dentist checks Clare‘s teeth and says,“There is a bad tooth. I have to pull it out.”

  “How much is it?”

  “Twenty dollars.”

  When the dentist finishes his work, he asks the mother to pay one hundred dollars.

  “One hundred dollars? Why? You told me it was twenty dollars just now.”

  “But your son screamed so terribly that he scared four patients out of my office.”
